Students will demonstrate the capacity to write and speak clearly, read perceptively, and think critically.
They will gain knowledge of historical and literary traditions.
They will understand how written and spoken language reflects diverse cultural experiences.
They will have profound knowledge of key concepts in English language and literature.
The Associate Degree in English (2 Years) follows the guidelines of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Islamabad.
It aims to help learners develop analytical, linguistic, and interpretive skills through reading, writing, and research across literary genres.
Students gain experience in understanding diverse forms of expression — poetry, prose, drama, and non-fiction — along with rhetorical and linguistic techniques through assignments and discussions.
Candidates holding an Intermediate certificate with at least 45% marks or A-Levels with an equivalency certificate from IBCC Islamabad, or an equivalent certificate from a recognized institution, are eligible to apply.
Candidates need to pass an entry test or an aptitude interview conducted by the University.
